MBBS Question Bank (2025 to 2021)

A question bank organises previous year questions by topic rather than by full paper, so you can practise a specific chapter or concept across every year it has appeared, instead of working through one complete paper at a time. This page compiles the MBBS question bank drawn from GeckoMed's 2025 to 2021 archive across all 14 paper-bearing subjects, organised by phase and topic area. If you want to browse full papers year by year instead, see the MBBS Question Papers hub.

Compiled from previous year papers across the universities GeckoMed tracks in depth. Updated 2026.

How the MBBS Question Bank Is Organised

Rather than listing complete papers, this question bank groups questions by subject and topic, based on how often each topic has appeared across the 2025 to 2021 archive. This is useful when you want to drill a specific concept — such as cardiac cycle in Physiology, or inflammation in Pathology — without opening five separate year-wise papers to find every instance of it.

Question Bank vs Full Papers: When to Use Each

  • Use the question bank when you are revising a specific chapter or topic and want to see every way it has been asked across recent years, without opening multiple full papers.
  • Use full papers (available on the MBBS Question Papers hub) when you want to simulate exam conditions with a complete, timed paper covering the full subject spread.
  • Combine both: use the question bank during topic-wise revision through the term, then switch to full papers in the final weeks before your exam for timed practice.

How to Use the MBBS Question Bank Effectively

  1. Start with the topics marked as appearing in four or five of the last five years — these are your highest-priority revision targets.
  2. For each high-yield topic, write out a full structured answer from memory before checking your notes, rather than only reading the question.
  3. Note which topics repeat within a single subject across multiple phases of your course (for example, cardiovascular physiology resurfacing in later clinical subjects) and revise them together.
  4. Use the question bank as a checklist during your term, then move to full-paper practice under timed conditions as your exam approaches.
  5. Cross-reference question bank topics against your own university's syllabus and previous papers, since topic emphasis can vary slightly by university even within the shared CBME framework.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a question bank and question papers?

Question papers are complete, year-wise exam papers. A question bank groups individual questions by topic across multiple years, so you can practise one concept at a time rather than working through a full paper.

Is the MBBS question bank free to use?

Yes. The topic overview on this page is free, and the full filterable question bank with individual questions tagged by year is available in the GeckoMed app.

Does the question bank cover all four MBBS years?

Yes, the question bank spans Phase 1 through Phase 3 Part 2, covering all 14 paper-bearing subjects across the 2025 to 2021 archive.
