Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Gecko Med! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Gecko Med mobile application (the "App"), owned and operated by Shakti Body and Mind Private Limited, a company registered in India under the jurisdiction of Tamil Nadu ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility and Registration

  • The App is intended for use by medical students and learners.
  • Users must create an account using a valid mobile number and verify it via OTP.
  • There are no specific age restrictions at this time, but users must have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Use of the App

  • The App is currently available only in India.
  • The content is intended strictly for educational purposes and is not medical advice.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or reuse any illustrations or content without written permission from Shakti Body and Mind Private Limited.

3. Ownership of Content

  • All content within the App is the sole property of Shakti Body and Mind Private Limited.
  • No user-generated content is currently supported or accepted.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

  • Purchases and subscriptions offered through the App are processed by the applicable app store and are subject to that store's payment, renewal, cancellation, and subscription terms.
  • Refund requests and decisions are controlled by the applicable app store. We cannot guarantee that a refund request will be approved or denied.
  • As described in our Privacy Policy, we may share permitted information about your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple to help it assess a refund request.
  • Where purchased access or content was delivered or used, we may express a preference that Apple decline the refund. Apple makes the final decision.

5. Medical Disclaimer

  • All content provided in the App is for informational and educational purposes only.
  • The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical concerns.

6. Termination and Suspension

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

7. Third-Party Tools

  • Gecko Med may use tools such as PostHog, Sentry, and internal SDKs for analytics and diagnostics.
  • These tools do not collect personally identifiable user data at this stage.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App.

9. Modifications to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Tamil Nadu.

11. Campus Ambassador Program

  • The Campus Ambassador Program is optional and subject to review, selection, and availability.
  • Ambassador selection is generally limited to one student per college, per academic year.
  • Ambassadors must provide accurate information about their college, academic year, and engagement activities.
  • Ambassadors act as student representatives and not as employees, agents, or legal partners of Gecko Med.
  • Ambassadors may share promotional updates and offers only in a lawful, truthful, and non-misleading manner.
  • Ambassadors may share exam schedule information for their college, and Gecko Med may use this information to build and improve exam trackers.
  • Any college-related details shared by ambassadors must comply with their college rules, institutional policies, and applicable laws. If an ambassador shares information in violation of such rules or policies, the ambassador is solely responsible for that disclosure.
  • Any free subscription access, rewards, or perks are program benefits and may be updated, suspended, or withdrawn in cases of misuse, ineligibility, or policy violations.
  • We may suspend or remove any ambassador from the program at our discretion for conduct issues, misuse, or violation of these Terms.
